Privacy Policy

Ash Movie Camera ("the app") is an iPhone app for filming video with movie looks and effects. It is made by Yoga Free Pte. Ltd., Singapore ("we"). In short: your videos stay on your iPhone. We never receive your videos, photos, sound or the faces in them.

What the app uses on your iPhone

• Camera and microphone: to film video with sound. Looks and effects are applied on your iPhone.
• Photos: to save your takes to your photo library and to show your takes in the app's Media screen so you can play, trim, share or delete them.
• Faces, hands and people in the picture: focus tracking and some effects find faces, hands or people in the live picture. This happens on your iPhone, frame by frame. It detects shapes only; it never recognises who anyone is. Nothing is stored or sent anywhere.

You can change Camera, Microphone and Photos access at any time in the iPhone's Settings app.

What leaves your iPhone

• Anonymous usage statistics (PostHog): which screens, looks and effects are used, whether a take was saved, and app performance (for example if the phone got too hot). These events use a random ID created by the app. They contain no video, photo, sound, face, name, email, contacts or location, and they are not linked to your identity or used to track you across other apps. You can turn this off at any time in the app: Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous usage.
• Purchases (Apple and RevenueCat): payments are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details. Our purchase service, RevenueCat, receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase status (for example "yearly, active") so the app knows what you have unlocked and can restore it.
• App settings file: the app may download a small public file from our website (look names and credits). Our web host, Cloudflare, sees your IP address in order to send it, as with any web request. It contains nothing about you.

No video, photo, sound or picture ever leaves your iPhone because of the app. If you share a take, it goes where you choose (for example Messages or AirDrop), under that service's own privacy terms.

What we don't do

• No account or sign-in.
• No ads, no tracking across apps or websites, no selling or sharing of personal data.
• No location: the app does not use your location.

Service providers

PostHog (anonymous usage statistics), RevenueCat (purchase status) and Cloudflare (website hosting) process the limited data above on our behalf, under their own security and privacy terms.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Your rights

We hold no data that identifies you. Your takes are yours: delete them in the app or in Photos at any time. To ask about the anonymous usage data or purchase status linked to your app's random ID, email us and we'll help. Deleting the app removes takes saved inside the app (not those in Photos).

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above before the change reaches the app, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
